Matthäus Jähnel (guitar)

 

Matthäus Jähnel graduated at the Munich Guitar Institute (MGI) as well as the music conservatory Mozarteum Salzburg with a major in jazz, pop and arrangement. Being a live – as well as studioguitar player he already engaged in numerous productions: musicals such as "Hairspray", bigbands such as "Bigband Universität Potsdam", coverbands like "Blind Trust", several jazz-fromations, motion-picture recordings as well as being engaged as sideman for pop - and rock-bands. In addition he is also teaching in Germany as well as internationally.

 

 

Achim Rothe (trumpet)

 

Achim Rothe startet to play the trumpet by the age of eight and played concerts in public when he was nine years old. In 1993, he studied trumpet, jazz composing and film scoring at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Moving back to Germany, Achim Rothe has been working as trumpet player, conductor, arranger, composer and teacher all over the country.

 

 

 

Milo Lombardi (tenor-sax)

 

Milo Lombardi is an Italian saxophonist and composer based in Berlin.

His debut album, “Going Nowhere (Enjoying the Ride),” which was produced thanks to a crowd-funding campaign, was praised for its fresh, melodic sound, and brought Lombardi to the attention of the European jazz scene.

Lombardi is an inspired composer as well as a refined saxophone player. His sound has a touch of Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Charlie Rouse and a hint of Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. His music is a modern melodic jazz with some Latin influences and pays homage to some great composers from the past such as Bill Evans, Bobby Hutcherson and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Nando Hamker, aka ▲◼ PYRAMIDCUBE, is a Berlin based Producer and DJ at home in many different genres such as Swing, Electro-Funk, Soul, Trap, Hip-Hop, Folk and everything in between. As an instrumentalist he is playing the guitar(Jazz, Funk, Blues) and the accordion. At his last project, the Electronic-Singer-Songwriter-Duo „Katar Soulène“, he was acting as the lead producer, as well as performing as rhythm and lead guitarist.

Ms Singer (founder & lead singer)

 

Ms Singer is the founder and energetic leader lead-singer of “Berlin’s 1st Swing-Fusion Orchestra”. After several appearances both on stage such as Thalia Theater Hamburg as well as TV where she acted in feature-films and series such as “Dr Vogt”, “Die Schule am See” and “Saint Tropez” she studied acting, musical-theater and singing at the Herbert Berghof Studio and Bova Actorsworkshop in NYC. Her singing teachers included: Kimberly Vuaghn, Mary A. Kaufmann as well as Karin Ploog. In Hamburg she was one of the lead-singers of the former vocal-trio “The Swing S’sters” before she found “Ms Singer’s Swingers” in the beginning of 2014.

 

 

Benjamin Pontius (musical direction, arrangements and piano)

 

Benjamin Pontius began his musical studies with a teaching-major at the HfM Würzburg. After he majored in conducting at the HfM Dresden in 2013. Ever since he has been a Berlin based freelance conductor, arranger and composer. His Focus lies on composition as well as producing music both for motion-pictures and the media.
